Man's Doctrine or Gods Doctrine?

Scripture Reading.

2 Timothy 3

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.

10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Message Verses

2 Peter 3:3-18

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Man says these are permissible.

Marriage by the state. Most states will require that the minister has become ordained through a reputable establishment, and some may require specific legal minister certification to perform a wedding.

We in America have a separation of Church and state except when it comes to marriage and divorce the state controls that and gives you permission.  Is that Gods way. Marriage is an institution that man has been following since creation:

Genesis 2:21-25 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

This is an account of what Adam said once god presented him with Eve, so God presents the woman to man and then the man takes the woman as the wife, no state was involved, but since there was no state it cannot be regarded as useful today.

So again in Genesis 24:3-9 We see how Abraham tells his servant to get a wife for his son and that God will show him the wife for his son.  The story goes on to tell of the finding of Rebekah by the servant and how Rebekah is brought to Isaac and what happens in:

 Genesis 24: 63-67 And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming. And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel. For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself. And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done. And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.

And again later in Ruth we see how Naomi and Boaz are married they are brought together by God and then they are married.

Our parents with the guidance of God are who should pick our mates if they are godly parents then the choice in most if not all cases is the right choice, and the marriage in most cases will last because it is a biblical marriage not a man marriage. In no time is the state involved but the church is involved with the blessing of God man and woman can be married once they pledge their love and devotion to one another before God.

In this form the marriage will last but many times we do not listen to God and choose our own partners either because of how they look or we believe they are the one because they are what we always wanted, and God and parents are left out of the equation.

God should be the only authority when choosing our mates and the state cannot say that a certain marriage is good or bad it is the church and God alone, not the state.

Divorce:

God says in Matthew 19:3-9 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

Man says you can divorce for any reason but God limits it to infidelity, fornication or adultery, and says that for any other cause the divorce is not approved.  But we today get divorces for a number of reasons just as they did then.  And the divorces are approved by the state or a court that determines that we can divorce and how we will separate our stuff.

God does not like divorce but He also does not like a marriage he did not sanction through the parents of the couple.  But He can and does forgive those that ask for forgiveness and looks at those people through the blood of Jesus and they are forgiven.

But man does give divorces but some don't forgive the divorce and thus judge themselves those people placing themselves once again in the place of God.

Abortion.

Abortion is the killing (murder) of unborn children and in 1970 the United States adopted a law which made it legal for children to be killed before they were born, if the child was deemed by medical professionals to be deformed or may be defective, or the mother's life was in danger or if the child was conceived through rape or incest.

This abomination continues today with a twist, we today pay for it out of our tax dollars and the children that are aborted are used as experiments for gene development, vaccine development, and taste enhancement, and cloning research of organs to be used  transplants, it is still not legal however to clone people, man says that would be immoral but they do use research in animals to make people parts that would be considered better that the original God made parts.

So how did this happen?  Man through religion or religious organizations supported the abortion law because they believed it was morally right under the above mentioned circumstances. But we know it was wrong.

The Same as we knew at the inception of our great country that slavery was wrong, we also knew that Abortion was wrong;

This is part of an article that was run by NPR in 2009:

"There's some additional background to this story of two Southern Baptist churches, one black and one white, merging. Slavery had split the Baptist church between North and South in 1845, but a century and a half later, in 1995, the Southern Baptist Convention issued a formal apology for its earlier support of slavery and segregation."

And for Abortion in 1971 this was said by the convention:

"Be it further RESOLVED, That we call upon Southern Baptists to work for legislation that will allow the possibility of abortion under such conditions as rape, incest, clear evidence of severe fetal deformity, and carefully ascertained evidence of the likelihood of damage to the emotional, mental, and physical health of the mother"

But in 2003 the conventions said:

RESOLVED, That the messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, June 17Ð18, 2003, reiterate our conviction that the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision was based on a fundamentally flawed understanding of the United States Constitution, human embryology, and the basic principles of human rights; and be it further
RESOLVED, That we reaffirm our belief that the Roe v. Wade decision was an act of injustice against innocent unborn children as well as against vulnerable women in crisis pregnancy situations, both of which have been victimized by a "sexual revolution" that empowers predatory and irresponsible men and by a lucrative abortion industry that has fought against even the most minimal restrictions on abortion; and be it further
RESOLVED, That we offer our prayers, our love, and our advocacy for women and men who have been abused by abortion and the emotional, spiritual, and physical aftermath of this horrific practice; affirming that the gospel of Jesus Christ grants complete forgiveness for any sin, including that of abortion; and be it further
RESOLVED, That we lament and renounce statements and actions by previous Conventions and previous denominational leadership that offered support to the abortion culture; and be it further
RESOLVED, That we humbly confess that the initial blindness of many in our Convention to the enormity of Roe v. Wade should serve as a warning to contemporary Southern Baptists of the subtlety of the spirit of the age in obscuring a biblical worldview; and be it further
RESOLVED, That we urge our Southern Baptist churches to remain vigilant in the protection of human life by preaching the whole counsel of God on matters of human sexuality and the sanctity of life, by encouraging and empowering Southern Baptists to adopt unwanted children, by providing spiritual, emotional, and financial support for women in crisis pregnancies, and by calling on our government officials to take action to protect the lives of women and children; and be it further
RESOLVED, That we express our appreciation to both houses of Congress for their passage of the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003, and we applaud President Bush for his commitment to sign this bill into law; and be it further
RESOLVED, That we urge Congress to act swiftly to deliver this bill to President Bush for his signature; and be it finally
RESOLVED, That we pray and work for the repeal of the Roe v. Wade decision and for the day when the act of abortion will be not only illegal, but also unthinkable.

Jesus said in Mathew 19:13-15 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.

We need to always look to God for the answers to our problems, legislation for moral issues should never be given to the state,  Marriage, Birth, Divorce, Education of our children, and the life of our children. We as Christians need to keep focused and not be led astray by any of the world's beliefs or doctrines remember the bible says in:

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Here is  what a major "Christian" professing Religion stated last on or about December 13, 2013:

From the third Vatican council:

Through humility, soul searching, and prayerful contemplation we have gained a new understanding of certain dogmas. The church no longer believes in a literal hell where people suffer. This doctrine is incompatible with the infinite love of God. God is not a judge but a friend and a lover of humanity. God seeks not to condemn but only to embrace. Like the fable of Adam and Eve, we see hell as a literary device. Hell is merely a metaphor for the isolated soul, which like all souls ultimately will be united in love with God” Pope Francis declared.

In a speech that shocked many, the Pope claimed “All religions are true, because they are true in the hearts of all those who believe in them. What other kind of truth is there? In the past, the church has been harsh on those it deemed morally wrong or sinful. Today, we no longer judge. Like a loving father, we never condemn our children. Our church is big enough for heterosexuals and homosexuals, for the pro-life and the pro-choice! For conservatives and liberals, even communists are welcome and have joined us. We all love and worship the same God.”

I am sorry Pope Francis but God said there was a literal Hell and whether you or the Catholic church believe it does not mean that there is no longer a literal Hell, telling people there is no hell is a lie and will place many people in the hands of the devil, and thrown into a literal hell for eternity. Seeing that there is a literal Hell we all must repent, turn to Jesus and accept Him as our savior and follow Him not man or mans doctrines.

I am not saying to hate anyone, to shun anyone I am saying that we as Christians should do all things as our savior did, looking at the moral laws of god and His word as the guide for all we do in our lives.  We can like a homosexual but not condone their behavior knowing that if that person confesses sin, and repents to Christ they will no longer be homosexual the sin will be gone and through Christ the desire for that lifestyle will also pass.

I am not saying we should hate a Catholic or an Islamist, I am saying we should love the person but tell them of their false belief and doctrine and bring them to Christ who will bring them to repentance and to serving the true God.  Let us all know the sin, despise the sin but love the people, inform the people, so that the people may be saved through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Revelations 22:17 says, " And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely."

Lets be the voice for our God and stand up for what is right in these last days and not allow the compromises of the past to hurt the future of our country or our church.

Remember;

James 1:24-26 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

And let us always be as the bible says in;

1 Peter 3:8-10 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

God is the righteous judge lets not judge one another but guide and teach each other the ways of our savior remember again;

Matthew 7:1-3 Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

And finally; if we have anything against our brother, friends of anyone remember that Forgiveness opens the doors of heaven and is the only way to bring us closer to our heavenly father;

Matthew 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

If you need to rededicate your lives or want to except Christ as you savior today is the day, the time is growing short the devil is going about trying to bring as many to hell with him as he can because he knows his time is short, do not let him have you, come to Christ today, again the bible tells us;

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely."
